Traditional braces
One of the most popular orthodontic treatments, traditional braces are made of high-grade stainless steel, 24-karat gold or clear porcelain, and they come in a variety of shapes and designs. In addition, today’s traditional braces are lighter, smaller and more powerful than past versions, allowing them to straighten your teeth as efficiently and comfortably as possible.
How do traditional braces work?
Traditional braces are what most people picture when they hear the word “braces.” There is a tiny bracket attached to the front of each of your teeth using a special dental cement, with a wire connecting the brackets together through the use of elastic rings that come in a variety of hues. During your appointments at 360 Orthodontics, Dr. Partovi will periodically tighten your braces to apply strategic pressure, aligning your jaw as needed and gradually straightening your teeth over time.
Benefits of traditional braces
- Affordable: Traditional braces tend to be the most affordable orthodontic option available.
- Customizable: Depending on your personality, you can customize your braces to be metal, clear, gold or an array of colorful elastic hues.
