*360 Orthodontics has shifted gears from the use of old traditional braces, using a revolutionary new orthodontic treatment known as the Damon system. This new system uses self-ligating braces to straighten your teeth significantly faster – and with less pain – than traditional braces. It also eliminates the need for pulling teeth and the use of additional appliances such as an expander. Because of this amazing new treatment, we are no longer offering traditional braces. However, we want to provide the information on all tools of orthodontics and so will maintain the traditional braces information on the site.

Traditional braces

One of the most popular orthodontic treatments, traditional braces are made of high-grade stainless steel, 24-karat gold or clear porcelain, and they come in a variety of shapes and designs. In addition, today’s traditional braces are lighter, smaller and more powerful than past versions, allowing them to straighten your teeth as efficiently and comfortably as possible.

How do traditional braces work?

Traditional braces are what most people picture when they hear the word “braces.” There is a tiny bracket attached to the front of each of your teeth using a special dental cement, with a wire connecting the brackets together through the use of elastic rings that come in a variety of hues. During your appointments at 360 Orthodontics, Dr. Partovi will periodically tighten your braces to apply strategic pressure, aligning your jaw as needed and gradually straightening your teeth over time.

Benefits of traditional braces

  • Affordable: Traditional braces tend to be the most affordable orthodontic option available.
  • Customizable: Depending on your personality, you can customize your braces to be metal, clear, gold or an array of colorful elastic hues.
