The Invisalign Treatment Process
In Santa Monica, the first step in treatment is the creation of a precise 3D image of your teeth with a digital scan. You will be able to see exactly how your teeth will appear after treatment is complete. The clear aligners will then be custom-manufactured to perfectly fit over your teeth. Each set of aligners is worn for a specific number of weeks to slowly shift the teeth into position. Once the new intermediate position is reached, the next aligner is worn, and so on. Each person will require varied lengths of time to straighten teeth, based upon the alignment issues to be corrected. You will need to wear the aligners for 20 – 22 hours per day. They are easily removed for eating and drinking – just pop them off, eat, drink, brush your teeth, and replace the aligners.
